我出生于一个教师之家，母亲是一位优秀的小学教师;父亲是也曾经是教师，后来经历了人生的第二次选择，考入法院，成了一名法官。父母对生活的热情和对人生挫折的态度，潜移默化地影响着我，形成了我自强不息、不轻言败的性格。
中考的教训，让我懂得了什么叫脚踏实地，什么叫不图虚荣，什么叫谦虚谨慎，什么叫取长补短……高中三年，我努力夯实学科基础知识、掌握学习方法、提高操作实践能力、同时，利用课余时间广泛地涉猎大量书籍，不但充实了自己，而且培养了自己多方面的技能。夷陵中学严谨的学风塑造了我朴实、稳重的学习态度，更重要的是在这样一个精英云集的地方，我学会了在竞争中挑战自我，在合作中欣赏他人。这样一步一个脚印走来，我尝到了成功的喜悦：成绩逐年上升，我看到了自己身上蕴藏着的无限潜能，它让我相信如果给我一个支点，我也能撬起整个地球!
选择x大学我有以下几个理由：
一是x大学是一所国家教育部直属的，拥有研究生院，本科专业涵盖了理、工、文、经、管、法、教育等学科门类的综合性重点大学，是一所有着坚实的学术基础和严谨的治学传统，校园环境优美的大学。在这样的学习环境里，无论是在知识能力，还是在个人素质修养方面，我会受益匪浅。
二是x大学是一所以工为主的大学，这符合了我的学科兴趣，我是一个理科生，尤其以数学、物理学科见长，这次推荐我参加自主招生的就是我的数学老师和物理老师。我喜欢在这样自主开放的环境里学习，希望可以有更为广阔的发展前景。

The 4-year comprehensive and systematic study and training in the specialtyof pharmacy guaranteed my successful completion of my undergraduate program atthe College of Medicine of _ University, the best medical institute in China.In an academic environmental famous for its rigorousness, I established a solidfoundation in such diverse fields as biology, chemistry, biochemistry,pharmacology, pathology, physiology, and cell biology. As I approached mystudies primarily from a problem-oriented manner, devoting much more energy tolabwork than to coursework in order to satisfy my curiosity for solvingpractical problems, my overall GPA is somehow affected, slightly lower than whatI would have desired. In my case, GPA, which is purely based on exam scores,does not account much. In retrospect, I have been more concerned with developingmy hands-on abilities and on developing an extensive knowledge rather than onintensive test-oriented knowledge. I have every reason to believe that my excellent experimental skills andresearch experience will qualify me to be a helpful research assistant to myfuture supervisor and to make important research achievements. Even when I was afreshman, I started to work as a research assistant in the laboratory. Over thepast four years, I have commanded most of the basic skills necessary forundertaking lab research, such as operations on animals, cell culture,electrophoresis experiments, etc. By far, my most important research experiencecame from undertaking my graduation project, which exemplified an overall testof experimental techniques. I chose to focus on the Effect of Ye3 on the CellApoptosis. The reason for choosing this subject of research is that the study ofcell apoptosis has a crucial importance in the treatment of cancer and inmaintaining the immunity of those suffering from AIDS. On the premise that rareearth ions are considered capable of entering cells, I decided that my projectwould concentrate on rare earth ions and their effects on cell nucleus. Withextensive experiments, I discovered that, under different circumstances, rareearth ions would produce totally different behavior toward cell apoptosis. Whenthe concentration of rare earth ions is below a certain ultimate limit, thefunction of the ions changes from that of facilitating cell apoptosis to that ofsuppressing cell apoptosis. As an initial and tentative study, my research haswon very positive comments from my advisor. In undertaking a large quantity ofexperiments, I not only applied basic operation skills with much dexterity butalso acquired many new techniques such as making post-coloring observation ofthe morphology of cell nucleus through the confocal fluorescence microscope, andperforming qualitative testing of cell apoptosis with the help of flow cytometrymethod (FCM).
Having completed my undergraduate education and acquired necessaryqualifications, I would like to pursue a more advanced degree program at TheDepartment of Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Faculty of Medicine at TheUniversity of _. Whilst working asa Recreation Assistant I have become more confident with working around bothadults and children; I have learnt valuable people and observational skills. Afew years ago I joined St John Cadets where I have learnt first aid skills.Through structured interviews and presentations I was chosen to represent NorthEast Wales to compete for cadet of the year. I am also a black belt in karateand have helped others improve their technique.
I have enjoyed an active role in school life. Whilst at ______ School I wasappointed as Prefect and I was nominated by my peers to act as Form Captain. Since I was young I have always had a keen interest in the way that thethings around me work. From marvelling at the telephone to how planes can fly,engineering advances have never failed to captivate me. For this reason, I havealways tried to find out how such things function, and about how they have hadan impact on the society we live in today. Coupled with the fact that I havealways enjoyed the logical and problem-solving processes involved in maths andphysics, I decided several years ago to embark on a career in engineering.
Since then, I have endeavoured to find out as much about engineering aspossible. I researched the great engineers such as Brunel, and discovered thegreat works they had completed. I have attended several engineering conferences,the most recent of which I was selected to speak live on radio about myexperiences. And once I had completed several weeks' worth of work experience, Iwas assured that it was the career that I wanted to pursue.
This summer, I took part in the Nuffield Bursary scheme for a month,working in a team, at Aerogistics Ltd. Our project was to analyse and implementa new system for the distribution of consumable materials to the individualdepartments within the company. We found the current system to be highlyinefficient and after much data gathering and thought, presented our findings tothe senior managers of the company who agreed with our ideas. The last week wasspent starting the implementation of these ideas. I found the experience to behighly challenging, yet rewarding especially as it led to me gaining a GoldCrest Award. I also found it useful as I got to see engineers at work and thedaily problems that they face. I learnt that there is a lot more to being a goodengineer than possessing technical competence, although this is undoubtedlyimportant; team work, communication and leadership skills are vital as well.
I have also recently been selected to complete two placements with armyengineers. One of these placements will focus on the more practical side ofengineering while the other will focus on the skills needed by a professionalengineer focussing on project planning and leadership. I hope to find theexperience useful.
In my spare time I like to play sport and music. In secondary school I wascaptain for the Netball and Football teams, as well as taking part in variousother sports. The experience of this greatly improved my team working abilitiesas well as my fitness. As a keen musician I am working towards my grade 5 theoryand grade 7 practical on cello. I am a member of a Youth Orchestra, and havejust recently completed a tour of Italy. I am also in the school orchestra andhave led several orchestras in the past, before progressing to the LYO.
In school, I am Deputy Head Girl, helping to lead a team of over 40prefects. I find this to be a challenging and stimulating role and believe ithas developed my confidence immensely. As well as carrying out the normal dutiesof a prefect, such as supervising younger students, I must lead and manage theother prefects. My role involves arranging rotas, organising after school eventssuch as the Year 7 social and parent's evenings and public speaking as well asother responsibilities, which have developed my communication, organisation andleadership skills immensely. The role requires a lot of commitment, but it hashelped to improve my time management, as I try to strike a balance between itand school work, which is my main priority. I have also been selected to competein the Physics Olympiad and have been entered for the Biology AdvancedExtension.
During my time at university I hope to gain a good degree, which will standme in good stead for when I enter the world of work. She used lots ofproverbs, history figures and examples to support her stand, and every word ofher was incisive to get to the point, and also full of humors. Her positivity and versatility also can be found in many other aspects. Sheis ours school’s famous piano player who is always invited to play in manyoccasions. She knows the traditional skill of calligraphy writing, which she hasbeen practicing from very small. During weekends or vacations, the “HolidayWorking Team” she leads can always be found doing many community services.Normally, in order to get more students to participate in class’s management,the student cadre will change every semester or two, by student vote. Student council was a big part of my life in high school. I haveparticipated in it since my frst year of high school. When I frst joined，I wasquiet，na?ve，and unwilling to participate in many activities. I was scared tomeet new people and afraid to apply myself. This all began to change. I realized I loved this and wanted to start leading these activities. When I looked up leadership in the dictionary，it said that it was thecapacity to lead and the act or instance of leading. These are two very broaddefnitions of leadership. When I was challenged to use different items to describe whatleadership actually is，I thought this was going to be a hard and obnoxioustask. What could I learn from comparing leadership to a stuffed animal or arubber chicken? But when I sat down to come up with a couple of answers，Irealized that leadership could be compared to almost anything a personwants.
All I know about leadership I learned from a calculator. A calculator canadd everything together to come up with the best answer. It can delet e what isunnecessary and only include what is important. It can solve any type ofproblem. These are all important equalities a leader has to have. A leader hasto be able to add all of the ideas together to make the best possible plan.Leaders have to know how to decipher the good and the bad out of an idea. Theyhave to be versatile and know how to deal with different types of issues.
All I know about leadership I learned from a ball. A ball is able to bounceback up after it is dropped. It is round and has no creases. A ball can bethrown back and forth to different people. All of these qualities are alsoleadership qualities. A leader has to be ready for every situation that isthrown at him or her. He or she has to be able to bounce back from any setbacksand never dwell on the past. Leaders have to exhibit many qualities and never beclosed-minded about a situation. A leader must be able to delegate when he orshe cannot get the work done. They have to trust everyone they lead to be ableto "catch the ball" and keep a project rolling.
This activity made me realize that being a leader is so much more than justhaving authority and having the ability to take control of a situation. A leaderhas to be trusting of all the people he or she leads and，leaders must be ableto combine ideas into one encompassing idea. They cannot sit in the backgroundand watch events happen; they have to jump in and be involved. They should notdelegate all their responsibilities away.
Leadership is more than what the dictionary says it is.
I learned through all of this that I have many of these qualities.
I have the ability to solve problems，lead through adversity，and beversatile. From answering this question， I realized that I could leadeffectively，even if my leadership style is different from other individuals.When I joined student council in my frst year of high school，I did not havethese qualities because I was never put into a situation where I had to lead. Iwas too reserved to try. When I tried，I learned that I could succeed in this. Idid not realize until I answered this question about leadership. I was neverable to see that being a leader is not just about taking control of a group andtelling everyone what to When I was a freshman，I thoughtleadership was this. I did not know that did not have to be forceful and strict.I stereotyped a leader then. Thisis where I went wrong. A leader is about beingyourself and never letting anyone change you. And then, all parts were made with various machine toolssuch as CNC lathe, wire electrical discharge machine, vertical machining center,and so on. Finally, we had toassembly all parts to the harmonic gear reducer,and test-drove it for many times. With five-week unremitting efforts, wesucceeded in the project of harmonic gear reducer and obtained the highestpraise. This special experience makes it very helpful for my further study.Firstly, I find the connection between theory and practice. Textbooks couldhardly cover everything, therefore, if we want to learn more, we should pursueevery opportunity to have practices. Meanwhile, I experienced the importance andmightiness of cooperation. In the project, we divided ourselves into severalparts, not only doing one’s own work well, but also cooperating with each otherharmoniously.
Another case worthy mentioning is my design project for graduation,“Manufacturing and Performance of Electroplated CBN Tools”. The main objectiveof this project is the manufacturing of the electroplated CBN (Cubic BoronNitride) wheels and the research of its performance when grinding theheat-resisted steel. I had completed three steps of task. Firstly, I took chargeof the manufacturing of electroplated CBN wheels, covering the following work:selecting electroplating solution, computing various electroplating parameterssuch as electrical current and temperature, adhering CBN to the tool base byelectroplating a nickel layer. After these basic preparations, I had to do thesecond part of the research work to compare grinding abilities of electroplatedCBN wheels with those of other wheels such as SiC wheels, Al2O3 wheels etc. Thispart of the work needs the researcher’s highly particularity and staidness. Idid the detailed work as follows: (1) Grind heat-resisted steel with variouswheels in the same grinding conditions. (2) Record data and compute the grindingratio of various wheels. (3) Measure the surface roughness of the heat-resistedsteel ground by various wheels. (4) Observe dulling and pullout of abrasivegrains of various wheels by using optical microscope. In this part, we canconclude that electroplated wheels have far better grinding abilities than otherwheels, by comparing parameters, such as grinding ratio, surface roughness etc.The final assignment of the project is to find out the most suitable parametersof grinding heat-resisted steel with electroplated CBN wheels, through comparingthe grinding ratio and surface roughness of heat-resisted steel ground indifferent grinding parameters. By investigating the attributes of electroplatedCBN wheels and concluding their practical grinding parameters, this project isvery important in promoting the application of them.
China’s unique advantage of labor force predicts the resplendent future ofits Mechanical Engineering, especially the manufacture, and it is our beliefthat this day will come soon. On the other hand, there are so many experiencedtechnicians in China, however, with the absence of advanced experts manyadvanced producing method cannot be used in practical yield. When I worked asintern in some factories, I found that most of them were still using facilitieswhich were used in America about thirty years ago. I undertook work experience for Liverpool City Council working in thePlanning and Building Control Department for a fortnight during March 20__. Icarried out general administration including, filing, photocopying, faxing andanswering phone calls. I feel this has developed my organisational andcommunication skills. In addition to this, I enhanced my computer literacy byperforming data entry tasks, printing, using the intranet and typing letters.This experience has helped me to work independently and to use my initiativewhen required.
Throughout summer 20__ I worked as a volunteer at Sefton Resource Centrefor young people with disabilities. I worked with young children ranging fromages 3 to 8. I embarked on necessary training needed to care for the children inaccordance to their disability and age. During this experience my sense ofresponsibility increased. This was because I had to keep watch of at least twochildren who, because of their disability, had no real sense of danger. As wellas this, I feel that I now have a greater amount of empathy for the parentsbecause I had experienced only a few hours a week of their primaryresponsibility and their children’s need for dependency.教育学个人陈述#e#
I was assigned one child each day in which I was expected to take fullresponsibility for, this would be during trips to places such as the swimmingbaths and even when on site. Although I found this to be difficult on someoccasions, I enjoyed it and I formed a strong bond with a fair few of thechildren.
I am currently applying for voluntary work experience for multiple othernurseries within Liverpool, those including The Little Georgian Day Nursery inthe City Centre and put in another application for Sefton Resource Centre.SinceI can remember, I have always had an understanding of those with disabilities.My cousin has moderate learning difficulties which has a large affect on hermental age; I frequently visit her and find that I enjoy being in her company asshe is a very optimistic person. Furthermore, one of my close friends previouslystarred in a documentary for BBC 3’s Beauty Season which was centred aroundsociety’s perceptions of beauty, as she has lived with Apert syndrome she hasexperienced many feelings of seclusion and situations of negativity, such asbullying. I found that these situations made her a stronger person and myfriends and I have helped her through her recovery from over 20 operations. Ihave high expectations and a large amount of respect for her and every otherperson who suffers from physical or mental disabilities. I was previously amember of Liverpool’s Team Oasis at Greenbank Sports Academy in which Iparticipated in performing arts activities, such as acting, dancing and singing.From this I gained confidence and was able to improve my speaking skills, whichhas helped me speak in front of large audiences with ease. This has proven to beuseful when doing a school assembly for years seven and eight explaining theimportance of recycling and keeping the environment green.
